KATHERINE ZELT
Katherine Zelt is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She combines evidence-based therapies with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by her clients.
With a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, Katherine has honed her expertise through years of clinical practice and ongoing professional development. She primarily draws from evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and other mindfulness-based approaches to address symptoms related to anxiety, depression, and stress.
Katherine possesses a keen interest in the psychological aspects of women's health, including issues such as perinatal mental health, post-partum depression, fertility challenges, hormone-related mood disorders, and cancer. Her therapeutic approach is characterized by empathy, respect for individual differences, and a commitment to fostering a safe therapeutic environment where clients feel understood and supported.
In working with couples, Katherine uses the Gottman Method to help couples navigate conflict and deepen connection and intimacy.
Recognizing the often-overlooked complexities of adult ADHD, Katherine also offers assessments and treatment services tailored to the unique needs of adolescent and adult clients struggling with symptoms related to ADHD.
Through collaborative goal-setting and personalized strategies, Kat empowers clients to harness their strengths and navigate life’s challenges with resilience, love, and compassion.
