Meet Krystal.

Krystal has been with Maliya Wellness Centre since its very beginning, making her an integral part of its foundation, growth, and the heart of its day-to-day rhythm. As our Clinical Support and Finance Manager, she seamlessly bridges the operational and care-focused sides of the clinic—ensuring that both our clients and practitioners feel supported every step of the way.

With a natural attentiveness to both people and process, Krystal oversees all financial operations, while also acting as a trusted liaison for insurance coordination. She brings clarity and ease to what can often feel complex, guiding clients through claims and coverage with patience and care.

Beyond the financial and administrative scope, Krystal plays a vital role in clinical support—helping coordinate schedules, maintain flow within the clinic, and ensure that each client’s experience feels smooth, thoughtful, and well-held from beginning to end. Her presence at the front desk is both grounding and reassuring; she is often the first point of connection and the quiet force ensuring everything behind the scenes runs with intention.

Krystal is someone both clients and staff deeply rely on. Through her consistency, warmth, and dedication, she helps shape Maliya into more than just a wellness centre—it is a space where people feel genuinely cared for, supported, and in capable hands.

“I want to be someone who reminds others they don’t have to face their journey alone. I believe healing happens best when people feel supported, connected, and a part of a community that truly sees them.”

Her Story

Krystal began her career in healthcare as a Licensed Practical Nurse, where she developed not only strong clinical skills, but a deep appreciation for the importance of preventative care. Through her time in the medical field, she witnessed how often individuals felt the need to mask their struggles—moving through care without truly feeling seen or heard. It was this awareness that shaped her desire to create space for people to feel safe enough to open up, be vulnerable, and receive support in a more meaningful way.

After personally navigating both pre- and post-partum challenges, Krystal felt called to shift her path toward a space that truly prioritizes and advocates for women’s health—one that embraces holistic healing rather than focusing solely on traditional approaches. While she always valued the meaningful connections she built with her clients, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing: a sense of deeper care, collaboration, and community.

Krystal has continued to carry forward her medical knowledge and experience, thoughtfully integrating it into her role at Maliya Wellness Centre. When she found Maliya, it became more than just a workplace—it was the safe, supportive environment she had been searching for. A place where healing is shared, where care is collaborative, and where both clients and practitioners are encouraged to show up as they are.
