Meet Lori.

Lori is the founder and owner of Maliya Wellness Centre, and the visionary behind its mission, design, and overall direction. She oversees all aspects of the business, from growth and operations to the client experience and team culture, ensuring everything feels aligned and intentional. Deeply connected to the community, Lori also creates and organizes workshops, events, and initiatives that bring Maliya’s mission to life in a meaningful way.

As a Wellness Specialist, Lori is deeply committed to creating an experience where healing feels intentional, personal, and fully supported. She takes the time to truly understand each client—their story, their needs, and their goals—before crafting a personalized wellness plan that supports the body, mind, and soul. Working closely with Maliya’s team of practitioners, she thoughtfully coordinates care to ensure each client receives the most aligned and effective support.

“I created Maliya Wellness Centre to be a place where healing goes deeper—where you are seen as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. My mission is to walk alongside each individual with compassion and care, listening deeply, connecting the dots, and supporting them as they rediscover their strength, their balance, and their sense of wholeness.”

Her Story

Before founding Maliya, Lori was an entrepreneur running her own design company. Her life changed unexpectedly after an accident, leaving her to navigate years of physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Over the following eight years, she sought answers within the conventional medical system, but despite numerous appointments and treatments, clear explanations and meaningful support were often missing. While Western medicine played an important role in her care, it didn’t fully address the deeper underlying causes affecting her health and well-being. What she needed was a more integrated, compassionate approach—one that looked beyond symptoms to the root of the problem.

Feeling called to explore other paths, Lori discovered a retreat in Sedona that offered deeply personalized holistic care rooted in Eastern practices and soul-centered healing. For the first time in years, she experienced a space where healing embraced the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. The experience sparked a profound shift within her.

Through this journey, Lori witnessed the transformative power of practitioners who truly listened, collaborated, and connected the dots. By working together rather than in silos, these practitioners uncovered deeper patterns and supported meaningful healing. Being seen as a whole person—not just a diagnosis—became the turning point in her recovery and the foundation of her renewed sense of purpose.

Inspired to bring this model to her own community, Lori envisioned a centre where people wouldn’t have to navigate their healing alone or travel endlessly between providers in search of answers. She wanted a place that offered integrated, collaborative, and compassionate care—particularly for women, teens, and children who are often overlooked or dismissed within traditional systems.

Moved by this calling, Lori trained as a Women’s Health Coach, a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, and a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist, equipping herself to provide compassionate, whole-person support grounded in deep listening and connection.

Guided by the possibilities of collaborative care, Lori created Maliya Wellness Centre to bridge the gap between traditional healthcare and whole-person support, offering a sanctuary where clients are truly seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
