LORI BEAN

The Maliya Wellness Centre for Women, Teens & Children was founded by Lori Bean, inspired by her own journey through chronic pain and mental health challenges following a life-changing car accident. Despite working closely with medical professionals and following every recommended path, Lori continued to struggle. While Western medicine played an essential role in her care, it didn’t fully address what was happening beneath the surface. What was missing was a more integrated, compassionate approach—one that looked beyond symptoms to understand the root causes affecting her health and well-being.

Through her healing journey, Lori experienced the profound impact of working with practitioners who took the time to truly listen, connect the dots, and collaborate. Rather than working in silos, these practitioners supported one another, allowing deeper patterns to emerge and meaningful healing to occur. Being seen as a whole person—not just a diagnosis—became the turning point in Lori’s recovery and renewed sense of purpose.

Moved by this experience, Lori felt called to participate in the healing journeys of other women navigating similar paths. She became a Women’s Health Coach, a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, and a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist, allowing her to offer compassionate, whole-person support rooted in deep listening, connection, and care.

Inspired by what is possible when care is truly collaborative, Lori created the Maliya Wellness Centre to bridge the gap between traditional healthcare and whole-person support. At Maliya, practitioners work together as a team—sharing insights, collaborating across disciplines, and addressing root causes rather than simply managing symptoms—creating a more supported, effective, and empowering healing journey for every client.

More than a wellness centre, Maliya is a sanctuary for whole-person care—where practitioners collaborate, healing goes deeper, and clients feel truly supported every step of the way.
