Meet Tobi.

She’ll be the first person you see when you walk into Maliya Wellness Centre—and if you haven’t met Tobi yet, you won’t miss her infectious laugh and warm, welcoming presence.

As the receptionist, Tobi is here to be your first point of contact and to ensure your experience feels smooth, comfortable, and genuinely cared for from the very beginning. She can assist with booking and rescheduling appointments, answering questions about services and practitioners, navigating forms or insurance inquiries, and helping you feel at ease every step of the way.

Whether you’re visiting Maliya for the first time or returning to a familiar space, Tobi is always happy to guide you, support you, and make sure you feel right at home.

“I want to create a space where people feel truly seen, heard, and safe to explore their healing in their own way. Guided by compassion and lived experience, I believe healing becomes possible when we are met with kindness, empathy, and support, and that finding the strength to be our authentic selves is something everyone deserves as their journey unfolds in its own time and way.”

Her Story

Originally from Toronto, Tobi made the heartfelt decision to move to Cochrane five years ago in search of something more meaningful—a community that aligned with her values and offered a sense of love, safety, and belonging. What she found was not just a new home, but a place where she could fully step into her purpose: helping others heal.

Tobi’s own mental health journey was a turning point in her life, awakening a deep empathy and understanding for those navigating their own challenges. This personal experience fuels her passion for mental health advocacy and has shaped her unwavering belief that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. It can take many forms—conversation, connection, stillness, or support—but it always begins with the courage to reach out and accept help.

With a warm and grounded presence, Tobi is committed to creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and safe to be exactly who they are. She strives to build a community of care—one where individuals are empowered to explore their inner worlds, access meaningful resources, and move forward at their own pace.
