Because We Are Women, Too…

We get it, it’s part of our nature as stewards of feminine energy, for women to nurture.  We give to others, and this provides us with a feeling of contribution and connection.  We give to our partners, our children and pets, and our extended families. We have so much to share that it ripples out to our work, our communities and the groups that touch us.  But sometimes we forget to take time to rejuvenate, let alone actually get reserves built up of our gifts and power.  We go into a deficit of energy which, on the zoomed-out version of a timeline, prevents us from giving in the way that is our nature.

It’s a bit cliché now, the airplane concept of putting your own oxygen mask on before helping others.  Let’s face it though, ladies, many of us get this analogy for taking care of ourselves conceptually but we just don’t care for ourselves, and we are going down with the plane!

Sometimes we think we have to be broken before we ask for help. The journey to recovery will be much longer if we delay to that point.

What is interesting is how this shows up in such individual and personal ways.  For some of us, it affects our mental health.  We can shut down or we can lash out, often impacting our relationships.  For others, it affects the soul. This is where we go through the motions of life but find no joy or inspiration to make us eager to experience the adventure of each day.  For some, it shows up in the body.  Pain, reduced energy, or disease shows up to tell us that something is not quite in alignment.  These indicators of energy deficit can show up in more than one area because we aren’t even sure how to read the initial signs.

So many of us believe that we have to live with some version of disorder or ailment.  We’ve given so much for so long, that we don’t even know what optimal feels like. Life isn’t perfect, right? But what if we could get it a lot closer and feel higher levels of vitality by accepting the ‘oxygen masks’ that are offered?

Ladies, that’s what Maliya is.  We are a group of women who are reaching out from a beautiful space, with talents and skills to help other women. Step by step, we are here to help you feel more alive, more connected to yourself and restored than you may have thought possible.
